3. My Story
I have worked in 3 different types of business, early on it was the motor industry, working in various motor factors, body shops and parts departments, I have a real feel for dealing with customers, face to face has always been the best way for me to get to know people.
In the start of 1996 I moved away from the motor trade and got into computers, having left School with a feeling that if the BBC Micro was the future, my future was not going to be in IT, but I was suddenly confronted with a computer in a shop window which changed my views, and really, my life.
I started working in the IT industry, initially in sales, but, very quickly moving into hardware and building, programming computers. I would have to say that from then until now, I still enjoy the challenge of computers, I still enjoy making them, repairing them, helping people with them.
I moved to work in the gun trade in 2014, and that led to me to where I am now I would say, still doing IT support, but always dealing with customers, and always finding new ways to be creative, in 2020 we had the worst worldwide nightmare ever when Covid took over the world, and business started to slow, and even go out of business, it was a grim time, but late 2020 I got my hands on a 3D printer, and started to learn Fusion 360, I really enjoy making my own products, and have made many things with PLA, I still love making parts and anything with 3D and PLA in particular.
At the end of 2023 we got our hands on a laser engraver at the gun shop, and it was something I could have never imagined being fortunate enough to learn. I loved it so much, I bought my own, never thinking that one day, I would be in the position to start my own company. So since 2023 to date, I have been engraving a whole host of material, the main focus for me has been metal, ceramic, leather, and some hard plastics like PMAG’s my machine also has the capability to offer some colour on Stainless . I have spent all my working life learning various trades, and have nurtured the important ones to me, with a view to offering my experience and excellence to you.
